Aims & Objectives
Our overall aim is to work together with Young Person’s Probation to affect positive change in the live s of young people who offend and their families through the provision of mentoring and family support services.
Specific aims:
- To affect positive change in the lives of the young people and families with whom we work
- To compliment the role of Young Person’s Probation in reducing offending behaviour
- Utilising volunteers from local communities to work with young offenders and their families.
Objectives:
- To provide child-centred, non-judgemental mentoring series to young people and parents under the Children Act, 2001
- To provide a range of family support services to parent s and families engaged with Young Person’s Probation
- Top ensure that volunteers and staff receive effective training, supervision and support to enable them to provide quality services to young people and their families.
