Le Cheile Co-ordinator, Cork
Le Chéile are looking for a self starting and solution focused person to co-ordinate our Mentoring and Family support project in Cork City and the surrounding areas. Le Chéile is an innovative organisation which gives young people and families involved in the justice system the opportunity to avail of services in the community with the assistance of volunteers who are recruited, trained, supervised and supported by our Co-ordinators. This post will be based in Cork City and will cover the counties both City and County and surrounding areas.
Candidates should have the following:
- A recognised qualification in Youth and Community Work, Education, Social Work, Psychology, Social Science or other related area.
- 3 years full time experience of working with young people.
- Experience of working with volunteers, preferably in a supervisory capacity.
- Facilitation and Programme delivery skills and experience in delivering programmes to young people and families
- A Clean Driving License and own car.
- Candidates will be subject to Garda vetting, reference checks and be of good character.
Flexible hours are required including some nights and weekends.
This is a 35 hours per week position on a 12 month fixed term contract.
