SFP

The Strengthening Families Programme (SFP) is an internationally recognised parenting and family skills programme for high-risk families. SFP is an evidence-based 14 week programme, initially developed to prevent substance abuse by teens in drug and alcohol-stressed families, and is found to significantly reduce problem behaviors, delinquency, and alcohol and drug abuse in children and to improve social competencies and school performance. Strong families are now widely understood to reduce the risk for many adverse behaviours in teens.
